Following My Singing Soul.
Over the last couple of days I have fallen in LOVE with writing on my work. It's funny because I always really shied away from having words on my art. I think I was trying to avoid being like many of the other mixed media artists out there who put in inspirational quotes. I wanted to have impact but always felt it was a little too on the nose for me. But this... acrylic ink and water with a quill glue bottle on poster board acrylic paint and water with a quill glue bottle on poster board I love!!! It absolutely sings to me and I can't stop myself from doing it on all the things I have been creating lately. I have also used pigma micron pens, paint markers and sakura gelli pens on poster board, canvas and cardstock. All have been exciting and wonderful, but the above two are so far my favourite. I like too that I am getting out the thoughts in that moment. It's like what I understand bullet journaling to be about. Quick, in the moment...
